Spring Beginnings

2/27/2025

Picture
As winter melts away and the first hints of green emerge from the thawing earth, spring brings with it a sense of renewal and energy. The days grow longer, the air feels lighter, and nature awakens from its slumber, reminding us that change is not only inevitable but beautiful. It truly is the season of new beginnings—whether it’s revamping your home with spring cleaning, setting new personal goals, or attending more local events (my personal favorite). The energy of the season encourages optimism, making it the perfect time to shake off the winter blues and welcome fresh opportunities.

For me, spring also brings back fond memories of growing up during fish fry season. Every year, I couldn’t wait for Lent to roll around so I could get a taste of St. Joe’s famous fish. Cars would be wrapped around the block and down 6th Street, but the wait was always worth it. That first bite marked not just the return of a delicious tradition, but the unmistakable arrival of spring itself.
